Canadian Tire Money

As is a long tradition with my kids; tonight I spent the evening with my youngest daughter Hannah (Thing 2), counting our Canadian Tire Money.

I can’t explain the reason we do this, other than it’s fun. The money will eventually be gifted to both my girls, for their weddings. I have no interest in EVER walking into a store and forcing some poor clerk to count it out.

Counting it is something that I hope they both appreciate as a chance to hang out with their dad. That’s worth every penny to me.

Total tonight? $3365.30.

That's weird… but in a cozy (albeit polarising) sort of way.

True. I thought it was subtle, but I guess I have been pitting Thing 1 and Thing 2 against each other as they line up to inherit my Canadian Tire Money ;)

    Chris,

That's cool, and I think a great family tradition. But seriously, how in the hell have you accumulated that much Canadian Tire Money?

    Nice job:)

    Z:

Two things. Almost half has come from the gas bar. I get about $4-5 every fill-up, and that has been for over a decade. Secondly, I buy it from some small businesses that take it as payment.

It's a sickness in a way, but it is also fun.
