As the Co-Founder of Yardstick Software Inc., parent company of ProTraining.com and ProExams.com, Chris has acted in a Co-CEO role to help create a successful Edmonton based Internet Software Company. Chris helped lead his company to win the Alberta Venture Prize competition in 2006 for best fast-growth business model, as well the company has enjoyed five consecutive years on the Alberta Venture Magazine’s Fast 50 list of fastest growing companies in the Province, and was recently added to the Profit Magazine’s Profit 100 List.

Prior to his experience in the software industry, Chris served 15 years in the Solid Waste and Environmental Services sector, most recently as the Senior Vice President – Western Canada for Waste Services Inc. and prior to that as District Manager – Northern Alberta with Waste Management Inc. His extensive experience in the sector has seen him manage operations over $120M in revenues with over 2500 staff.

Chris has been active in the Edmonton community for 20 years as a volunteer in various community organizations. Recently being appointed by Edmonton City Council to the Board of the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), he also currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Edmonton Executive Association, the Edmonton Student Finance Appeal Board, and volunteers his time to Ducks Unlimited Canada, Junior Achievement and Edmonton ChangeCamp.

Chris is also very active serving as the Past-President of the Provincial Board of Directors for the Alberta Party, and cares a great deal about transforming government into a transparent and innovative servant of the people.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, hunting with his dog Murphy, or as a Private Pilot, flying with his business partner and friend Don.
