Chris is a co-founder of Yardstick Software Inc., Canada’s largest provider of online examination and e-learning solutions and psychometric consulting and exam delivery services. Customers are regulators, associations, government, corporations and academic institutions. Chris has helped Yardstick win the Alberta Venture Prize, appear for six consecutive years on the Alberta Venture Magazine’s Fast 50 list and three consecutive years on Profit Magazine’s PROFIT 100/200/500 list of Canada’s fastest growing companies.
Chris has been active in the Edmonton community for 20 years as a volunteer in various community organizations. Currently as Board Chair of Startup Edmonton, and Co-Chair of the Mayors’ Taskforce on City Image (Make Something Edmonton). He has served on the Board of the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) for four years and currently also sits on the Board of Directors of Aquatera Utilities, a for-profit Water/Wastewater/Solid Waste and Recycling utility company in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Chris has recently received his ICD.d designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, hunting with his dog Murphy, or as a Private Pilot, flying with his business partner and friend Don.
